Segmented application in the beer industry
Different categories of beer have different requirements for the crown cap, which promotes its differentiated application.
1. Large scale industrial beer:
Application features: Pursuing ultimate cost control and production efficiency.
Cover type selection: Mainly use standard PE/PET gasket covers or lower cost PVC covers (in allowed areas). Pay attention to the mechanical performance of the cover and the adaptability of high-speed pressing.
Functional requirement: Ensure basic sealing and flavor stability within the established shelf life.
2. Craft beer and high-end beer:
Application features: flavor preservation is paramount, and brand image is prominent.
Cover type selection: Widely use pre coated covers (TPS covers) to eliminate gasket odors and achieve "flavor locking". Oxygen absorbing caps have almost become a standard feature for oxidation sensitive styles such as high-quality IPA and Empire Shitao.
Design appeal: The top cover often uses special ink, relief, full top printing and other processes to reflect the unique personality of the craft beer brand.
3. Secondary fermented beer in bottle:
Application scenarios: Traditional Belgian monastery beer, champagne, some craft Seson, etc.
Application characteristics: It needs to withstand the continuous pressure (sometimes very high) generated by yeast producing gas inside the bottle. The mechanical strength and sealing reliability of the cover are crucial, and thick or specially designed gaskets are often used.
