Main structure and constituent materials of ring pull bottle cap
A typical pull tab cover mainly consists of the following parts:
1. Shell:
It is usually made of aluminum or tin plated iron sheet (tinplate), with a soft texture and easy deformation.
The interior will be coated with a layer of * * sealing gasket (Liner), usually made of materials such as polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), to ensure the airtightness and liquid tightness of the bottle mouth.
2. Pull Tab:
Usually integrated with the cover shell, connected to the cover shell through a small bridge point.
There is a sharp score line or Tear Tab at the base of the pull tab, which is the key to opening the lid.
3. Pilfer Proof Band:
When sealing the bottle for the first time, the lower part of the bottle cap will be rolled out with threads and form a downward protruding skirt.
This skirt will get stuck under the protruding ring at the bottle mouth. Once the bottle cap is unscrewed, the skirt will separate or break from the main body and remain on the neck of the bottle as evidence that it has been opened, known as the name "Pilfer Proof".
